James Webb Space Telescope has launched

James Webb Space Telescope has launched from Europe Spaceport in French Guiana, December 25, 2021. Webb is the world’s largest and most complex space science observatory. The telescope’s revolutionary technology will explore every phase of cosmic history from 1 million miles away from Earth. Webb will peer at the universe's first stars and galaxies, sniff the atmospheres of nearby exoplanets, and explore our own solar system to understand the origins of the universe.

This joint effort of NASA, ESA (European Space Agency) and the Canadian Space Agency will discover things never seen or imagined before. The $10 billion flagship mission will operate in the next 5-10 years.
